The winners were recognised during Wednesday’s Airline Retail Conference Asia-Pacific gala dinner

The inaugural Asia Pacific Airline Retail awards took place on Wednesday during the Airline Retail Conference 2012 Asia-Pacific gala dinner, sponsored by Scorpio Disttributors, at the Grand Hyatt Hotel, Singapore.

Delegates were invited to vote online for the first five categories which included Best Airline for Inflight Retail (sponsored by Scorpio Distributors) and Best Inflight Agent or Distributor (sponsored by Elizabeth Arden). They were then asked to vote by ballet using voting slips for the remaining awards which consisted of Best Inflight Food Product and Best Inflight Retail Product.

The Best Airline for Inflight Retail award went to Singapore Airlines, while Scorpio Distributors collected the Best Inflight Agent or Distributor prize. The Best Inflight Retail product accolade went to Buckley Jewellery.

Buckley Jewellery shines at the 2011 Airline Retail Awards

Buckley Jewellery has clinched the ‘Best Inflight Product’ title for its Russian Trio Set at the 2011 Airline Retail Awards last week, held as part of the Airline Retail Conference (ARC) in London.

The UK-based jewellery company was also nominated in the ‘Most Promising Inflight Supplier’ category, which was voted for online by delegates attending ARC in the run-up to the conference.

The ‘Best Inflight Product’ award was voted for based on nominations received during the two-day event.

In related news, Singapore Airlines (through DFASS) listed the Russian Trio Set onboard prior to ARC.
